St. Andrew’s Senior Group
St. Andrew’s Senior Group was formed to enable the small percentage of senior parishioners in this large, young family parish to get acquainted and participate in parish functions.
The group has a very informal gathering of seniors, 50 years plus, who have a desire to spend a few hours, on the second Tuesday of the month socializing in the Padre Pio Room.
The seniors eagerly assist other St. Andrew’s groups with their various activities when requested.
In the past they have helped with the annual Youth Group Yard Sale and the St. Andrew’s Women’s Sodality Giving Tree project at Christmas.
We have had guest speakers discuss health and financial issues, religious topics and hobbies.
We occasionally meet with the St. Mary’s Senior Group members in Fairfax for the various functions they so graciously invite us to attend.
We look forward to having other senior parishioners join us and welcome any suggestions to make this an even more active and interesting group.
